About

Good to know

A modern shed-roof design that brings in a ton of light and a feeling of expansiveness in the main living space. The master bedroom on the other hand has room darkening curtains to allow for a deep sleep. There is a very small private front deck and a small back patio with seating (table and 3 chairs). Being right downtown, it is a brisk walk to so many restaurants and retail shops. The neighborhood.... The Barlow – A trendy outdoor marketplace featuring artisan food, craft breweries, boutique shopping, art galleries, and local makers. You’ll find places like Crooked Goat Brewing, Fern Bar, Kosho, and Taylor Lane Organic Coffee. Farm-to-Table Dining – Restaurants like Handline, Ramen Gaijin, and Khom Loi showcase fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many from the surrounding organic farms. Wine & Cider Scene – While Napa and Sonoma are famous for their wines, Sebastopol is home to some fantastic wineries and a thriving cider scene, thanks to its apple orchards. Popular stops include Iron Horse Vineyards, Gold Ridge Organic Farms, and Horse & Plow Winery. The Sebastopol Apple Trail highlights local cider makers like Golden State Cider and Ethic Ciders. Artsy & Eclectic Vibe – Known for its bohemian and creative spirit, Sebastopol has a strong arts scene. The Sebastopol Center for the Arts hosts exhibits, performances, and workshops. The town is also home to the quirky Florence Avenue Junk Art Sculptures, whimsical metal creations by local artists Patrick Amiot and Brigitte Laurent. Hiking & Outdoor Adventures – Nearby, you can explore Ragle Ranch Park (great for picnics and hikes), Laguna de Santa Rosa (a beautiful wetland for birdwatching and kayaking), and Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve (a short drive for awe-inspiring old-growth redwoods). Bohemian Highway – A scenic drive through quaint towns like Freestone (home to the legendary Wild Flour Bread bakery) and Occidental (with its historic Union Hotel and redwood hikes). Spiritual & Wellness Scene – With its countercultural roots, Sebastopol has many wellness retreats, yoga studios, and alternative healing centers.

This lovely, new ADU was a perfect spot for our one-month stay in Sebastopol. The rooms are very functional and flexible with sliding doors and rolling furniture, and all the appliances and finishes are high-end. The beds are super-comfy, the linens are luxurious, and the two outdoor seating areas are lovely (one is more sunny, the other is a bit cooler on a hot day). The kitchen is well-equipped and facilities for coffee and tea-making were particularly appreciated. There is a ton of storage in the house, with lots of drawers, cupboards, and hanging rods. Megan is very friendly and accommodating and even helped us figure out a few dilemmas. The location is terrific -- only a 5-ish minute walk to shops, restaurants, The Barlow, grocery stores, CVS, clothing boutiques, bakeries, the Farmer's Market, and the Joe Rodota bike/ped trail is literally a 1-min walk. And yet, being tucked into a small residential neighborhood off the main road means it's quiet and serene. Highly recommend!

This place is a little gold nugget!! It is well-situated so you can walk to restaurants, and we discovered a nearby walking trail. The place is beautifully and thoughtfully arranged (for example the couch is on wheels so you can move it). Everything is spotlessly clean, and it has a warm, welcoming, comfortable homey feeling. I highly recommend it.

Megan’s place is in a great location with a sweet garden and a redwood tree outside the bedroom window. Everything was very clean and well kept, with a nicely equipped kitchen and a comfortable bedroom. Megan was very helpful, and I’d happily stay here again when in Sebastopol.

An absolute perfect stay. We (couple, 1 child) stayed for 1 month and absolutely loved it. The bungalow is new construction and beautifully appointed. It’s off the road so very peaceful and private. We occasionally left the windows open at night and there was never any noise. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to prepare meals. Beds were comfortable with quality bedding. It’s a great set up for 2 people, a couple, or a family of 3. Our daughter loved having her own space in the loft. The location can’t be beat. Walking distance to great restaurants (recommend Fern Bar for happy hour), several coffee shops (Retrograde is great) and Main Street for shopping. We’ve stayed in several dozen Airbnbs and this was one of the best stays we’ve had. Highly recommend!
